"Older Post" click-down button?
-
How do I to change the number of “Featured Image” pictorial post that populate on my static page, before the “older post” click-down button appears?
Can I set a specific number “Featured Image” pictorial post to populate?Where is that option? Whenever I add any widget to the bottom, all but one of the Featured Image post is removed, and an “older post” click-down appears.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Whenever I add any widget to the bottom, all but one of the Featured Image post is removed, and an “older post” click-down appears.
Hmm. That is odd. Adding a widget should not affect the number of posts that appear on the blog page. The blog page and the 2017 archives page on your site each display only one post. Also 2011-2016 archives pages don’t exist. Have you published, or attempted to publish, other posts?
The posts per page setting may be found at My Site(s) > Settings > Writing > Content types.
-
Each time I click the “Older posts” button at the bottom of your blog page, one additional post is added. That indicates that the number of posts per page presently set at My Site(s) > Settings > Writing > Content types is “1”.
-
If that’s not the case, then please let us know. If it is set on “1,” then you may increase the number as desired and save the change.

@brentsaulic, under the Reading Settings, you have your site set to show only one post. Go here and adjust that number as desired.

Hi. You gave the instructions for changing the posts per page setting at WP Admin Reading Settings, while I gave the instructions for changing the same setting at My Site(s) > Settings > Writing. Either will do the trick, but don’t you think it might be confusing to @brentsaulic to see these two different sets of instructions, without an explanation?
Is the Reading Settings option preferable in this case for some reason? I know I prefer it, because I’m comfortable with WP Admin and not with Calypso, but my impression is that most members are using Calypso more than WP Admin when possible, and that WordPress.com likes it that way.
-
@musicdoc1, Due to the way Calpso is done, I can’t access the user’s Calypso side of things, so I always have to go in through the WP Admin, so it’s a habit mostly.
