older post photos no longer appearing

  Hi all–
  Desperately hoping someone can help. All of our old photos, which worked for the first month or two post-posting :), no longer work. When you go to an older post (not posted in the last 2-3 months), the images are gone, and when you click on them, the error message “404 file not found” appears. These photos used to work–so where did they go?
  Any help of any kind is much much appreciated. Thanks!

  What is the URL starting with http:// for the exact blog you refer to please?

  (1) Are these missing images found in your Media Library ie. did you upload them from your computer onto WordPress.com servers? And, if so, then are they still in the Media Librarynow? Please check.

  Or are the missing images ones you have linked to on some other server somewhere else online such as flickr or photobucket who allow hotlinking?

  Or are the missing images ones you have linked to on some other server somewhere else online that does not allow hotlinking?

  If you removed any images from your Media Library then they cannot be displayed. If you are hotlinking to images on sites that don’t allow that the images will not be displayed.
