Older posts & newer posts in Spectrum theme

Hi there,

I’m running the Spectrum theme & would like to know if there’s a way to modify the appearance of the “Older/Newer Posts” tabs to either make the font on them larger or a different color so they stand out more. The default setting is for “older/newer posts” to appear in little itty-bitty letters at the bottom of the screen that don’t stand out very well, and I would like to make them a bit more visible because I’m not sure I want to leave the infinity scrolling option on forever. I have the CSS upgrade, natch, and hope there’s a quick & dirty way I can do this since I’m a noob. Thanks!

Hi there!

You can make these changes with this code:
```
#navigation a {
	color: #000000;
	font-size: 14px;
}
```
Just change the values to match what you want your color and font size to be.

Thanks for the reply!

It doesn’t appear to work, though, unfortunately. I was super careful to make sure I input it correctly into the CSS modification screen, too.

Any other suggestions?

Hmm. I see that it is working in your Customizer. It just doesn’t affect your site. It may be conflicting with your font settings. Can you try adding !important tags like this:
```
#navigation a {
	color: #999000 !important;
	font-size: 20px !important;
}
```
Let me know if that still doesn’t work!

No, it STILL isn’t working, unfortunately. :-(

I don’t know if this is a bug with the theme or what, but any other ideas you may have about how to fix this would be very much appreciated.

Hi @empwrddstny!

It looks like you just recently enabled the Infinite Scroll option on your theme. That automatically hides the “Older/Newer Posts” as the posts will just load down the page. You will still see the navigation on Archive pages. Here is how it looks on my side:

Is this looking how you would like it to?

No – I re-enabled the infinite scroll option because no one had gotten back to me about this issue.

I will be happy to disable it again if somebody gets back to me with a viable alternative.

To clarify: Leaving the infinite scroll option on is not preferable. I really would like to be able to modify the font settings (size and/or color) for the Older Posts tab so that it’s more visible – this way it’s more visible and lets reader know I have more content WITHOUT having the screen cluttered up by the infinite scroll option.

Hi!

I’ve tested this out on my site and this should work:
```
#infinite-handle span {
	font-size: 20px;
	color: #999000;
}
```
Please note, it will not work when you’re previewing it from the Customizer. However, once you save it to your site, it should work correctly. Can you give that a try and let me know if it gives you the look you want? I’m happy to make additional customizations to the code if you would like!
