There is no Archive widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/ in your sidebar so I could not use it to locate your earliest posts with images in them and examine the image links.
When an image is deleted from your Media Library it’s no longer on WordPress.com servers and cannot be displayed when browsers call for it. When the images are in your Media Library you can insert them into your posts and they will display when browsers call for them.
(1) Are these missing images found in your Media Library ie. on WordPress.com servers? Or are they hosted on another site?
(2) If they are hosted on an image hosting site that does allow hotlinking like photobucket, tec. then they could be missing due to issues on the image hosting site.
(3) If they are hosted on another site that does not allow hotlinking the images will come and go or simply be gone or they will be l.inked to a stop hotlinking message.
(4) If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode to disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
a. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies ? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
b. Have you tried updating the browser to the latest stable version? http://browsehappy.com/(5) For details about the options for uploading images see:

I will add an archive widget. But the photos are not from an outside website, I manually uploaded them to my site. They are no longer in my media library. I have no idea where they went. I did not delete them though.

I added an archive widget. Sorry I am not great at this blogging stuff just yet. I have only been doing it since march. Thank you!

I see a slough of images in this post http://nessjustinblog.wordpress.com/2013/03/27/just-the-beginning/
However the first four are missing ie. 404 — File not found.

I don’t have a clue what happened to them but I did tag this thread for Staff investigation. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
P.S. I have some unsolicited advice for you.
These are the ways to reduce page loading time:
1. Edit posts and insert “the more tag” so only excerpts appear on the fort page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/2. Reduce the number of posts appearing on the front page here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most _ posts3. Reduce the number of images and or media embeds displayed and/or make them smaller.
4. Reduce the number of widgets in the sidebar and footer areas.

Many people are reporting similar issues. We haven’t isolated the cause yet, but they all seem to be in the US. I suggest you contact your ISP and ask them.

What would they have to do with my photos disappearing? I am sorry. I re-added some of the photos, but now it looks like others have disappeared here..
-
It might be related because ISPs constantly block certain servers for things like hosting porn. Sometimes they block too many, or the wrong ones, and if those are the ones that your images are on, this is what happens.
-
-
You explain the problem, you say someone at Wp.com told you it might be that the ISP is blocking some servers that it didn’t before, you ask if they can check if wordpress.com is whitelisted.

Hi vnessa2468,
It looks like you deleted a number of images over the past few months. For example, the first one in the post you linked, rockingchair-black-cabin-htours0506-de.jpg, was deleted on May 10th, 2013.
If you want to fix that post, you can go back in and edit it, deleting the broken image links and replacing them with new images you’ve uploaded.
-
I didn’t delete them though! They were gone when I signed in one day. I didn’t delete anything and my photos are just disappearing. I have put some back in but more are deleting themselves. I don’t know how to fix it.

Did you recently install a browser add-on like a “code cleaner” or something like that? There was a case a few years ago where someone’s browser add-on went through and deleted several hundred of her blog posts.
-
I do not know what a browser add on is or a code cleaner. So I doubt I installed those unless it was an accident.
