omg NOT Tumblr. Confused with WordPress / Paypal Button information.

I’ve done the simple Buy Now button link on WordPress.

    But, on this page:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/get-paypal-button-code

    it says:

    “Note:
When adding the “Add to Cart” or Shopping Cart button,…
you CAN use the “Website” code… that is generated and paste it right into the HTML editor of your site.
A “shortcode” will automatically be created on your site which you publish. When you paste the Shopping Cart button and it’s (sic) published, users can add that particular item to their cart. This will go to a cart on PayPal.com where they can proceed with checkout.”

I’ve tried to use the website code for a Add to Cart button, but only after adding items to that button, (like picking 1, 2, 3, 4 things, and then Add to Cart) it doesn’t make sense to allow someone to add things to a cart, but not in any way determine how many things while still on the wordpress site.

Or am I reading the page incorrectly?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @ieba! Sorry we took a while to get back to you. You might find faster support at http://wordpress.com/help/contact — our forums are a bit overloaded right now, but most of the tumblr users are coming in on free accounts, and with your plan you can get direct support.

I’ll email you there to get you started so that you’ll get a faster response. Cheers!
