On every post, my subtitle and part of first para are repeated below the title

    I think I may have caused this by fiddling with some post settings, but whatever I’ve done, I now can’t switch it off.

    On all my posts, the whole subtitle and a bit of the first paragraph are squashed together and appear below the post title, as well as appearing where they are supposed to.

    I thought it might be something to do with excerpts, so i follwed the instructions for that issue (Settings> Reading> select ‘full text’) but ‘full text was already selected.

    Does anyone know what’s causing this unwanted auto repetition of text, and how to remove it?

    Hey there,

    You need to edit the Single Posts template which your post layout is based on, and delete the excerpt block. Here are the steps to edit the said template for the Fewer theme:

    1. Navigate to Appearance and select the Editor option.
    2. Select the Templates option from the left sidebar.
    3. Select Single Posts template to edit. https://imgur.com/XvmKrGH
    4. Select and delete the excerpt block, which says “This block will display the excerpt”, either by pressing the delete key, or click the vertical three dots on the excerpt block toolbar and choose delete. https://imgur.com/IHN0f1e.
