On WordPress.com the text of the placeholder posts is still on my posts and it looks awful

  Why is original text of the placeholder posts still on the page after I edited the posts? Were they supposed to be completely deleted? The page looks awful and 1.) I am so embarassed I am thinking of deleting it; 2.) I was testing WordPress software for a site I plan to host and if this is what’s it like….

  I am having the same thing.
  The place holder post is only on the home page…..you edit and edit, it is not on the edit page, update and it is still there.

  @boiserelocating on your site I do see placeholders in the Text Widgets.

  Go to My Site > Customize then (in the preview side) click on the text you want to edit. You can change it to something else, or just remove those widgets altogether.
