one account – two authors…

  i have one personal account that I created under an author that I do not want to continue with for another blog that I have just started on word press. I was hoping to make it easy so that I only have to log in once and post to both. But, I need separate gravatars and authors to show differently with each blog. Do I need to create a separate account and transfer?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,

  You can probably accomplish what you want by creating a new author user and adding it to a blog, and just assigning that author as the author of each post/page. So you DO need a second author account, but it’s not necessary to log into it, or author with it.

  Thank you for your response. Well, I decided that because the entire profile still shows with this blog that it may be best to have another account. How would I transfer the domain name to a new word press account? My current account is DakotaGoes and the blog name the I want to transfer is “gorazgo”. It is already set up but now I think it best to be under another account… Please advise. Thank you!

  In order to remove the owner of the blog, please transfer the ownership of the blog to another user using the guide below:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  After the blog is transferred, you can remove the user from “Users > All Users” panel in your Dashboard. Simply hover over the username you want to remove with your mouse, and click on “Remove”.
