One Business Plan for Multi-domain, Multi-language sites
-
Hi! Our company is planning to get a .COM Business Plan but would like to setup multi-language sites. Before we push through, we would like to get some clarity about the following:
1. Can we get one Business Plan to create multi-language sites or do we need to set up different sites and pay for each plan? We read about a concern on multidomain multilingual sites in a single Business plan hosting in the forums but we were not able to find an answer.
2. Can we install the WPML plugin using one Business Plan to create these multi-language sites or is the WPML only for .ORG websites?
We appreciate any help!

Hi there!
Business plan allows you to install plugins and third-party themes so yes, you will be able to use WPML (or other) translation plugin.
If the multilingual pages will be created with the use of the plugin, it will essentially be one site with different versions for each language and you can do that with plan Business. If your idea was to have a different domain for each language, this would make it a multisite and in this case, you’ll need to purchase a separate plan for each site.
Does that make sense?

Thank you staff-mckluskey! But we do have one more concern…
The WPML plugin says that we can use different domains per language. However, we have to configure Apache to make this option work. We are aware that .COM doesn’t give us FTP access or the option to go to the backend. So accessing Apache seems impossible, right? Still… we’re hoping there is a way to do this.
Would appreciate any advice.

That is correct, it’s not possible to operate a WordPress multisite network on the Business plan here, it’s just one site per plan.
