One Column, Left and Right Sidebars

  I need a theme in which the content (static pages) takes up most of (50 %) the center viewing area and the right and left sides each have 3 or 4 ‘buttons’ which link to pages displayed in that area.

  Would images contained by the sidebars work for this?

  I’m thinking one column and a right and left sidebar would do it – but would 3 columns work as well?

  Inspiration Laboratory has a whimsical feel I like, but can I can hide elements that I don’t need – such as a ‘normal’ menu and a blog. Can I play with the widths of the center / sidebars?

  Suggestions welcome. Thanks.
