One-column template option missing from 2010 theme

  I want to use the Twenty Ten theme with just one column, and the theme’s description says that’s possible. Yet there are no template options at all in my dashboard. Apparently some other people were having this same problem, and it was supposedly resolved for them: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cant-change-template-on-twenty-ten-anymore?replies=33

  But I’m just trying this today and not having luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  I can locate this Page template in the page attributes box in the far right hand column. Are you sure you are looking in the correct spot? http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/
  If you cannot locate it then you will have to contact Staff. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
