One email linked to two sites

I must be misunderstanding something as i read that you have to have a different email for each website/blog. I seem to have two websites/blogs linked to the same email. To be specific ridgewaysingersandband.wordpress.com and winfrithnewburgh.org.uk both seem to link to the same email. I now want to change the email for one (not both) of them and cannot see how to do it.

That is not true. One WordPress.com account can have any number of WordPress.com sites and self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) sites added to it (via Jetpack)
If you have both ridgewaysingersandband.wordpress.com and winfrithnewburgh.org.uk linked to a single WordPress.com email ID, it is perfectly normal.
If you wish to move one site to another WordPress.com account though, here is what you should do.
Create a new WordPress.com account with the alternate email ID here.
Now, logout off the second WordPress.com account. Login into your first WordPress.com account and visit this page.
Hover your mouse over the blog you want to move from the first WordPress.com account to the second WordPress.com account. You should see a button called “transfer blog”
Click on it and follow the on-screen instructions to move the blog from your first WordPress.com account to the second WordPress.com account.
Enter the WordPress.com username or the email ID of the second account when prompted, on the on-screen instructions.
