One image on page won’t show up

Ok, I’m pulling my hair out. I have several screenshots on my pages with embedded links to the site of the original and complete article/interview. One screenshot in particular doesn’t show up when I view my WordPress page, but I can see it in the manage post screen. What gives?

    This is the page: http://annettefix.wordpress.com/articles/

The image space is the 4th one from the top. The text “caption” (Memoir, what is it and how do you write it?) is below where the image should be–just like the others and the link to the outside site works if you click on the empty box outline. The image used to show up when I first created the page a month ago, so what happened to it since then?

    Any help would be great!

    Thanx!

All of those images are showing up for me just fine. Maybe you need to do the Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart computer.

Thanks! I’ll try that. I think the last time I restarted my computer was back when mullets and Z Cavaricci pants were in style.

Ok, I cleared out the cookies, cache, restarted my computer, and even installed some updates. But the 4th image is STILL not appearing. There should be 5 images on the Articles page. I was using Firefox, so I tried opening the page in Safari and the 1st and 4th images are missing there–it just shows a box outline that is the same scale as the others with a small blue box with a question mark in it inside the center of the outlined box. On Firefox, the outlined box for the missing image is small and rectangular with nothing inside. But the embedded links still work in both browsers.

    Grrrr…

I can still see all the images in the backend view of the pages, but don’t know why they aren’t showing up when I view the site. =/

Does anyone have any suggestions I could try? Are the images showing up for everyone else? And if they are, why can’t I see them?

I see them all too (firefox, opera and safari on mac).

I can see nothing wrong with your image links, except a / too many. The “img src” are closed twice, but apart from that – it looks ok to me.
Since all the rest of us can see it fine, it seems to be a problem with your computer… :-S

I deleted all the images from the page, reposted them, and reset all the embedded links. That seems to have worked.

    Thanks for the suggestions. =)

Sometimes the different server farms are a little out of sync. So other people may get picture from their next server while the server that serves files to you does not have the file (yet). that’s most probably the reason when different people see different results after the cookie dance. (We need a forum sticky for the cookie dance)

Sorry. My English has gone astray after working a night shift. I should get some black, caffeinated, hot water.

DF, no worries. The help is greatly appreciated from everyone who weighed in. I write and I edit other people’s writing for a living, but forums and discussion boards (with people such as yourself providing helpful advice) get a hall pass and an A+. ;-)
