    Back at privatepalate.wordpress.com

    We would like to experiment with the font on the sidebar – probably just make it a little bigger. I tested a few things in the CSS, but I don’t know if there is not a specific line existing that shows the font in the sidebar.

    Assistance would be appreciated!

    Do you have the CSS upgrade for your blog? If you don’t, you can only really change the font in the sidebar for your own text widgets or mainly posts, using this FAQ about changing font size and color using HTML with some great examples.

    If you have the CSS upgrade, we can definetely get you going on that one as well if you have it!

    IIRC, they have the CSS upgrade. I don’t even try to keep track of who’s got what anymore. :)

    For the sidebar of the Regulas theme, most of the text in it is links, so the easiest place is look for things with #sidebar in them, but none of them specifically have the font size. This would lead me to believe that adding one in would allow you to increase it because it must be using what the entire sheet has for a font. Try adding a font size to those places such as:

    #sidebar a {
    display:block;
    border:none;
    font-size:1.000em;
    color:#888;
    padding:3px;
    }

    That increased the font size in the sidebar. You can also change the size of the H2 sidebar by adding the font size!

    Hope that helps.

    everything in the sidebar is in
    #sidebar { }
    you can use font-size to increase the size of your font, ex:
    font-size: 1.5em;
    (1em is the default)
    you can do a whole bunch more with this stuff:
