One of my blogs has disappeared – where has it gone?
-
I have 2 blogs, now I can only see one – the one I don’t use any more. The one I use all the time has disappeared what has happened to it and how can I find it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Maybe you have more than one username account.
Maybe the blog is “hidden”.When you register a username account here all that’s required is an email address, which becomes your unique identifier. If you are logged in and register a blog then it’s registered under that unique identifier. You cannot access any blog unless you are logged in under the exact username account that registered the blog.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility -
I only have one user name and usually when I click on my name in the top right corner, a drop down says
Find Friends
Manage my Blogs
Help Sign Out
and then lists my 2 blogs, I click on the one I now use and then blog.
BUT, now only 1 of the blogs is listed, so where is my other one??
If you go on my website and click on “Janet’s Blog” it will take you to all my blogs. So they are there. My website is http://www.janacmastectomywear.comPlease help, this is really frustrating….

I have the same problem! The wordpress blog I lost is commeaumarche. It’s the only one I regularly use.

@beenaboobs
http://www.janacmastectomywear.com is NOT a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we provide support here only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the correct support forums for your software. -
@laviefranglophone
Note that commeaumarche.wordpress.com directs to http://carlydefilippo.com/
By default your blogs page displays all your posts and you have not published any posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on that page of your blog appeared because you deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ -
I’ve just figured it out. When you log in, it asks you for your e-mail OR your username, but when I logged in with my e-mail I could only see one of my blogs. When I logged in with my username I could see both of my blogs.
So from now on I have to remember to use my username and not my e-mail….!!!!!! You should try it laviefranglophone, maybe it’s the same problem. -

@timethief, that is incorrect. I had 90 posts as of yesterday, as well as several pages. Yes, it redirects to carlydefilippo.com, but it was a free WordPress hosted blog.
If you look at my facebook page, you will see reference to all my posts, historically. https://www.facebook.com/Carly.A.DeFilippo
As I said, I am a professional food writer and have been using WordPress for my blogs for over 4 years. I find it very unsettling that one of them can just disappear without notice, and appreciate your help in retrieving more than a year’s hard work.

@beenaboobs: I’m glad to hear that your blogs are showing again. Please let me know if there’s anything more I can do for you.
@carly: When I view your site I am able to see your posts. Are you still having this problem when you view your site?
