One of My Blogs isn’t Visible When I Publish It

I’ve requested help with this issue before and have never been offered a solution. I am frustrated that I spend time writing a post for a content blog and when I press publish “immediately”, it isn’t visible on the reader as my photo blog is. Is there anyone that can help me with this problem? Is there anyone who knows how to resolve the problem so all of my hard work isn’t for nothing? The article is visible on my site, but no one knows that, help please.

  • Hi there,

I noticed when I visit your site in the Reader that I see your most recent post displayed here: https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/2399654

    What I see:

To clarify, is it the case that you scheduled the post to be published at a later date, but did not see the post in the Reader after that date had passed? Or did this affect a post that you published immediately.

It can be the case that there is a short delay of 10-15 minutes until posts appear (from the time they are published) but for scheduled posts you would need a visit to your site from anyone to trigger your scheduled post, as mentioned in your previous post here.

    Thanks for the additional info!

Thank you for your response. When I publish any post, especially this blog because I publish this one only once a month, I set the timing to immediately. One of my followers mentioned that had he not had his setting for my blog to send an email he wouldn’t have seen it. Could that be because the blog post is only on the reader for a specific time? Thanks again for your help.

    Hi there!

Posts you publish do appear on the Reader immediately, but then newer posts go on top of yours as time goes on.

So, for example, if one of your followers checks the WordPress.com Reader an hour after you published the post, they would have seen every post published after your post from every blog they follow on the Reader. If they were following 13 blogs and every one of those blogs published a new post within that hour after your post was published, they would see 30 posts before they would see yours.

That’s a hypothetical scenario, but I hope it gets the point across.

Let me know if you have more questions. :)
