One of my page buttons doesn't…work?

The “design” button of my website doesn’t work, it 404s or it just reloads the current page you’re on in a way that makes it seem like you’re stuck on the page. I believe it used to be the “home” key but I edited it because I didn’t feel as though I needed a “home” button when my theme allows you to click on the website title to go back to the main page. Since then I haven’t been able to edit it properly and I cannot find where the raw information is to edit directly. Help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

The “Design” menu item evidently doesn’t have a link URL. That is, it links to nothing. Therefore, WordPress.com automatically assigns the page you are on as the URL associated with that item.

See the Custom Menus support page.

Perhaps the easiest way to address this issue would be to delete the item from the menu, and then create a new menu item. However, I notice that you have no page with the slug “design,” suggesting that you might not have a page titled “Design.” You do have a post titled “Design,” and you could add a link to that if you wish.

    Other irregularities:
A couple of static pages have URLs which don’t correspond with their titles. This is not necessarily problematic, but might confuse visitors.

    1. The page “Design and Animation” has the URL http://roguegoatstudios.com/contact/.
    2. The page “Samantha Florence and Contact” has the URL http://roguegoatstudios.com/about/.

You might want to change the slugs on those.

Hmmm I didn’t realise the slugs didn’t change when I edited the names of the pages…that does concern me. I would like to change these things but I was under the impression that you had to pay for the customiser? Is working with the custom menu free or does it require payment?

The customizer is available on free accounts.

You can manage the site’s menus either here: https://roguegoatstudios.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php, or here: https://wordpress.com/menus/roguegoatstudios.com

    It’s free.
