One of my post suddenly dissapeared

  • Unknown's avatar

One of my post suddenly disappeared. Im not really sure as to the address page of the post, but it was in my Spotleg Kitchen category and now it’s just empty with a 404 error nothing not found. The media files on the post remains intact but the post itself is nowhere to be found. Please do enlighten me on this case as I’ve invested a lot of time into that post and it would be very unfortunate and inefficient if I were to remake the post.

The post itself in untitled but the slug is fine-warteg.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Holy guacamole! You are spamdexing AKA tag spamming

This is the block of unrelated and irrelevant and duplicated categories and tags you assigned to a single post at http://spotleg.com/2014/11/28/chingu-cafe/#more-965

Posted in 10k – 25k, 25k – 50k, Browse by locations, Browse deals, Food Reviews and tagged bandung, BandungCulinary, BandungEatery, BandungJuara, BandungKuliner, bandungpromo, beef, bibimbap, boricha, buy one get one, Cafe, cheap, chingu, chingu cafe, diskon, diskon bandung, diskonbandung, dunia kuliner bandung, exo, fan cafe, food blog, food blog indonesia, foodblogger, foodnotebdg, gimbap, hits, indonesia, infinite, infobdg, informasi bandung, jajan, k-pop, k-pop bandung, kaferesto bandung, kimbap, korean, korean culinary, korean food, kpop, kuliner, kuliner korea, kulineran bandung, leteats, makan korea murah, makan murah, makanan korea, makanan korea bandung, makanan manis, manis, masakan, masakan korea, masakan murah, murah, promo, PromoBandung, ramyun, Resto, restoran, roasted barley tea, snsd, Spotleg, Spotleg.id, super junior, sweet escape, toppoki, Tteokbokki, voucher on November 28, 2014.

Your other posts are the same!

All reasons for non-appearance of posts on Topics pages can be found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts

As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal of the excess categories and/or tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

You are inadvertently spamdexing AKA tag spamming. And, you ought to be more concerned about your posts not appearing and being well ranked on Google and Bing SERPS (search results pages) than not appearing on the WordPress.com Topics pages because it’s search engines that send a significant flow of traffic to blogs and they can choose to bury your content where the sun don’t shine for tag spamming.

The rule of thumb is to assign the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the post content.

To locate drafts Dashboard > Posts > All Post > Drafts
    http://spotleg.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=post

Provided you did not create the post in the new Beep Beep Boop editor where it’s saved only on your browser, and is not auto-saved to the servers for your blog you may be able to recover a lost post or page.

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash

(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)

    I recommend:

    1. Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
    2. Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
    3. Immediately after creating a post and entering a title click the save draft link. Thereafter, “click save draft” frequently.
    4. Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
    5. Never leave a post or page open for content creation or editing and walk away from it, or open another tab in the same blog and work on something else while it is still open. Save it properly and return to edit it later.
    6. Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

If you cannot locate a revision or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.

All posts have titles when we select the standard post format and not “aside”.

Thank you for the clarification as I wasn’t aware of the total amount of tags limit. However the post is totally gone and I’ve searched every item in my dashboard all to no avail. Is there literally no way I can restore that post?

    Thanks in advance.
