One of my posts disapeared.

I posted something on my blog today, and i just logged in to check my stats and this posts is gone. It was available just a couple of hours ago and for no reason now it’s gone. I want it back. Help?

What is the title of the post?
If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

I spent a ton of time creating my ABOUT and it gone? My page showed it yesterday an now it’s empty.

@petitejoysinlife, I see a number of posts in your drafts folder and a few in the trash. Could you check to make sure your missing post isn’t there?
If you can’t find it, can you let me know what the post’s title was, and how you created the post? Did you write it in your full post editor or did you use the quick post option from the dropdown or from the WordPress.com home page?

@jackiedana it is not there… i had to re type everything. I wrote it on the full post editor thing.. it was published and a couple of hours later got deleted…
btw, how can u see my drafts?

Staff at WordPress.com can see your blog’s Dashboard, which we only use for troubleshooting purposes.
Can you let me know what the title of your post was and when you posted it?

Yes, thank you! It was so strange. I think what resolved it was seeing the difference between a page and a post? I don’t know now, I tried so many things. I’m getting a little bit better hang of this site. It’s just a little difficult to navigate. Thank you again!

@petitejoysinlife I’m not sure what happened, but I don’t see any evidence of a saved and deleted post.
In the future, be sure to save your drafts as you work, particularly if you don’t publish a post within a few minutes of starting it, and this shouldn’t continue to happen. If it does, please post a new thread with the name of your post, how you were creating it (in the post editor or via another means, and on a computer or a mobile device), and when it should have been published, and we will take another look.
