One of the menu options from customize panel is now lost?

    1. I’m using Edin theme. It has 3 different menu types: header, footer and a minimal one, except the minimal one changed.

What I did before it changed:
Following someone’s tips on the forum, I deleted the Header image and used the photo as a Featured image (on Home page) instead. This made my front page look better, but now the minimal menu option is lost. It’s still an option but just looks different when applied. I guess it adjusts to the new changes, but why and can I still have it somehow?

Any ideas what this might be about?

    2. Edin theme also has 3 Featured Pages options (Customize -> Theme Options).

I was wondering if it’s possible to have posts instead? If not, can I get recent blog posts’ summaries to be displayed on the front page?

    Thank you.

The Edin theme supports three menus. At menus page > manage locations they are identified as the primary and secondary menus, both of which appear above the site title-logo-header area, and the footer menu. What’s a “minimal menu?”

No, you can’t replace the featured pages on the front page with posts, or post summaries. That is, not while using a static page assigned to the Front Page Template as your front page. It’s certainly possible to display posts on your front page with this or any WordPress.com theme. Some themes display post excerpts by default on the posts page. For those themes which display the full post by default on the posts page, you may truncate posts using the More tag.

Hi musicdoc1, thanks for the reply.

I found what I was looking for, it was just a matter of changing it in the customize panel.

Customize – Theme Options – Menu: Default (I had it under “Classic”)

Also, what I meant under “minimal menu” was the one you have to click on (usually just an icon) to open it and see what is in it (about, blog, contact, etc).
