One of the sites was dropped from my main dashboard. How do I get back on?

I am a contributor to the site GeekMom.com, which has another administrator, but I also maintain two of my own WordPress blogs.

Normally, I am able to see all three of these sites by logging into my main sites, where I can check stats on all three, create posts, etc.

Over the last weekend GeekMom went through a series of WordPress fixes, and now I can’t access it it via my page. I can still get to my posts for editing, via a separate log in and website, but I can’t see the stats page or other information I check on a daily basis.

What is the best way to add this site back to the ‘my sites’ list? If I need permission, or anything from the GeekMom editors, let me know so I can tell them. If not, any help getting me back on is appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. First, check the My Blogs page on the WP-Admin dashboard: https://lisathegeekmom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs If the blog appears there, make sure it’s set to Visible. That will make it appear in the My Sites page.

If the blog does not appear on the My Blogs page, then you’ve probably been removed as a user. In that case you’ll need to contact the site owners to add you back.

As that site is self-hosted, we can’t help you with that part in this forum. You’ll need to post on the WordPress.org forums for help with that. http://wordpress.org/support/

  • Adding to what @kokkieh said, this could also be an issue with their Jetpack installation—the plugin that allows self-hosted blogs to be managed from your WordPress.com dashboard.

You can still login to that blog via its own admin URL, so I guess you’re not removed as a contributor.

Ask the site owners if they have made any changes to Jetpack, or have they completely removed it? If it’s the former, they should re-add you as a contributor.

If Jetpack is deleted, you cannot and will not see that blog in your dashboard here.

    Thanks,
I was suspecting a Jetpack issue. I’ll try that
