one page website still has a menu

  I have just created a website using the zoologist theme with only the about page which I have set to the home page.
  The primary navigation menu just has this one item on it “About”. I am trying to understand how to access this.

  AppearanceMenu does not have any menus at all.

  AppearanceEditorNavigation I have deleted the only menu item. It is now blank.

  AppearanceCustomizeMenu has no menus data at all but has the menu item int he top right.

  I am just trying to understand where this is stored and can be accessed.

  My little experiment is to create a one page website and so I don’t need a menu for this.
