One page with Multiple reference links

    Hi

I am trying to write a blog and I plan to have a lot of 4-5 line paragraphs that I will be referring to constantly in my posts. So I thought the best way to have this layout would be to have one page (Tidbits) and have all tidbits (Tidbit #1, Tidbit #2, etc) in this page and then link to each specific tidbit within the blogs.
How do I accomplish this ?

If you see my blog (http://chembur.wordpress.com), I have just set up a simple page and each specific tidbit is a page in itself. However this way, I realized, I will have a lot of pages (at least 20-30) and did not want my tidbit #xx displayed as it currently is.

I want to use only Rubric as the theme (or at least a theme where the sidebar is displayed when a link to a single post is clicked)

I would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks
PS: I pored over the forums before writing this question. please pardon my ignorance if this is already been discussed.

    Mark

Thank you very much. That does help. The xref’s are exactly what I wanted.
However given my problem statement, do you think this is a good design?
I will have to prefix all my links to these several tidbits with a # (as the link suggested). However there are going to be a lot of links like that within all my blog posts. Do you think that is a good idea.

Thanks for your patience and the tip.

    Regards

    Hi guys

Any better way of doing this page jump than whats given in the link above.

    Thanks

No, there is no other way at WordPress.com as far as I know. It sounds like a big nuisance, but we’re unable to give you any feedback on whether or not this is the right choice without knowing why you want to do this, or looking at an example.

    Thanks raincoaster.
So I am assuming that there is no way to link from Post A (on Page 1) to a particular text on Post B (on Page 2) ??

I don’t need to link to the post B on Page 2 but i need to link to a certain section of this Post B on Page 2.

Also, is there a way to use relative linking i.e. link from one post to another (on the same blog site) without getting an email for an incoming link? .. that tells me that someone (which is myself) linked to my post?

    thanks for your patience

There’s no way to make those page jumps from one page to a specific place on another at WP.com. You could just make smaller posts and link to the titles.

As for those emails, you would have to change your notification settings under Settings->Discussion I think it is. But that will mean you don’t get any emails at all when people comment.
