One thing I don't like about wordpress : absolute URLs
-
My primary annoyance with WordPress at a platform/tool is the insistence on absolute URLs everywhere (ie. http://example.com/path instead of /path).
Can someone explain this to me? It has only ever cause issues for me. Is there any way to stop it?

We do not have the ability to change permalink structure on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. To get that ability your can hire a web host and set up your own self hosted wordpress.org site.
