Hi, sweetharmonious – WooCommerce is the top way to sell products. It is a plugin. The business plan is the only plan that lets you download plugins.

There might be a way to build your own plug-in (or hire a developer to do that) into your site, through customizing a lot of features. I think it would take a lot of coding/ web developer knowledge.

The easiest way will be the business plan and WooCommerce.

I hope that answers your question!

Hi, hope you don’t mind me jumping in here.

If you have many, many products to sell in your shop online it is probably best to use either the Business plan/WooCommerce plugin or to entirely set up a site using the standalone WP software with a shop plugin. Here’s more on the differences between WordPressdotcom (where we are) and the standalone WP software: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Running a standalone WP install does require more technical know-how.

However, if you only have a few items you wish to sell on your site, then you might be able to use a PayPal button for each item. Here’s more on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/#selling-physical-and-digital-products%C2%A0and-requesting-donations-or-tips

You can use the PayPal button on any WordPressdotcom site regardless of upgrade plan.

Let us know if you have any other question about this.
