I am trying to access chat support.. I have a Premium account and so according to what it says, it should show up as a choice somewhere but doesn’t seem to.. Thanks for your help!

Even I am facing the same problem. I have an Entrepreneur package. It says we should have access to email and chat support but I can’t see option anywhere.

https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/Also see what options are offered if you click your tiny avatar on the top right of the page and see what options are offered under Help. Maybe it differentiates membership level and sends you to the right support page. Let us know if it does.

Perhaps you could consider using a free chat plug-in called WP Live Chat Support (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-live-chat-support). It received a very good rating of 4.5 stars out of 5. I hope you will find it useful.

@houstonweaver Thank you for letting me know. I’m still learning the ropes. I do have my WordPress blog on a hosted server. I’m trying to learn by helping other people. This is the best way, I think.

It looks like you are not the owner of the Premium Plan on your site, which is why you’re unable to access chat. On Premium sites only the upgrade owner can access chat, but not other admins on the site.
The Premium plan on your site belongs to the username, stfriedman, who is also the owner of the site. Only someone logged in as that username will be able to access live chat support.

We don’t have an Entrepreneur package on WordPress.com, so that upgrade might be with a different web host.
I do see a Premium Plan on your account for the site, speakingtreeco.wordpress.com. You should be able to access chat support for that site Monday to Friday at this link:
https://wordpress.com/help/contact
If chat is not available, i.e. when all our operators are busy and over weekends, that link will let you submit an email ticket instead.

Aha.. that was the problem, I generally log in under another wordpress ID to make it easier to post and comment with my biz name. I will sign in as myself and look. Thanks much!!!
