Online inventoy and pricing

I want to a modernize my website which has all by inventory and pricing updated daily. This will be done manually not using spreadsheets or data feeds. At this time I don’t want the shopping cart feature. It is for local customers to know what I have in stock with pricing so they can come in an buy the products. I would organize the products by type, manufacturer, and other features. Can this be done in WordPress? If so is this something offered be WordPress in the business subscription or is there a specific template/app I can use for WordPress to make this happen?

mainegundealer.com is hosted by Yahoo! Web Hosting, not by wordpress.com and we cannot help with it.

There is no secure payments system here at wordpress.COM and you cannot add a shopping cart to sites hosted by wordpress.COM regardless of upgrades. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugins are allowed for security reasons here at wordpress.COM.

No that cannot be done on any site hosted by wordpress.COM.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
    (3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

Support for wordpress.org sites is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
See also https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ for app support.

Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
However, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

I know it is not hosted. I set up an account with word press already and I plan one using Word Press as long as I can do what I asked. I am not going through the whole setup process without having a firm answer and the knowledge of the software I can use and its capabilities. I plan to convert to word press I would have not asked the question here if I did not plan on using word press. Please answer my question below.

I want to install products into word press. Someone told me you can add products and have those products searchable within word press by manufacturer, type, and so on. Updating stock and pricing would be easy. I would not want a shopping cart all I want is my product inventory 400+ items with pricing, descriptions, and pictures that I would update daily showing in stock or not in stock. This is for retail shopping not online purchasing. I only want them to come to my store to buy.

    Hi Fred
What you want to do is simply not possible with a site hosted here at WordPress.com. As @timethief pointed out, you cannot get support here for your site hosted by Yahoo.

I am glad to see you want to use WordPress software to run your store. What you want to do has already been done by thousands of people. But it’s not the same WordPress!

It is easy to be confused by this. The WordPress software is written and maintained by the WordPress.org community, and is the blogging software that is used by over 25% of the web! Because of the ease of use and popularity, WordPress software is installed by many hosting providers for use by their subscribers.
Automattic owns the hosting service known to us as WordPress.com.
BUT the software that you want to use on your self hosted blog has no real connection with WordPress.com, beyond the name. They don’t talk to each other (even though they are on good terms).

There are many videos on YouTube that can help you do exactly what you want,
    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wordpress+store+setup
gave me a whole pile to look at.

And http://wordpress.ORG/support/ is THE place to get answers to the questions you may have whil you are getting everything up and running!

    I hope that helped
