  How can I setup and validate its fit for purpose before I can go ahead and but the hosting plan. In fact I wanted to set up a multi-vendor auction platform so that all my suppliers can sell in my store and also create their own auction in my store

  You’d get a short free trial, then an ask to upgrade. Hopefully that will fit your needs!

  The Product Vendors extension would likely suit you well, too. It does not have a free trial, but it has a refund period you can take advantage of if needed. It’s just the thing for setting up a multi-vendor marketplace.
