  Hi – I’d like to show more than 10 posts on a page, but despite changign the settings, I cannot seem to get more than 10,

  Are you speaking of https://thebirchallian.wordpress.com/?

  You don’t currently have a posts page set on that site:

  https://d.pr/i/jqviDl

  Your page at https://thebirchallian.wordpress.com/blog-2/ is displaying your posts via the Blog Post Block on a regular static page. The purpose of that block is to just show your most recent posts on a static page, and not to display all posts you have published.

  If you select that page as your posts page instead, it will display all posts on your site. You can do that at My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Homepage Settings:
