Only SHOW Embedding Codes

  I wanted to know how I could show, but not literally embed, an embedding code. For instance, display a banner and then show the code underneath it. When I try posting the code, it just posts it as a second banner. Help?

  WordPress.com have created a shortcode you can wrap around source code that preserves its formatting and even provides syntax highlighting for certain languages. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/posting-source-code/
