Only shows generic site
-
When I click on the site or view, all I see is the generic site. However, when I click on edit, all of my information is still present on the pages.
Blog url: http://wildenandassociates.wordpress.com/ -
You currently have your domain http://wvcca.com/ directed to a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which is separate from your WordPress.com blog.
If you’d like to work with your WordPress.org blog, you’ll need to login to the blog through http://wvcca.com/wp-admin/
-
I built my blog/website under my http://wildenandassociates.wordpress.com/ and it showed all information perfectly. Then I registered my new URL (wvcca.com) and had the wordpress site redirected to the new URL. I then purchased hosting from GoDaddy.
All I can see when I click on the new URL is the generic site. However, my data is still intact when I get into the site and click on edit.
Help!

OK, so the real question is, do you want a WordPress.com blog hosted here or a WordPress.org blog hosted on GoDaddy?
First, review this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Now, if you want a WordPress.com blog hosted here, you’ll need to map your domain here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
If you want a WordPress.org blog on GoDaddy, you’ll need to transfer your content following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
-
When I click on either the purchased URL or wordpress URL, it doesn’t go to my site information.
-
It looks like you purchased the Site Redirect upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
This means that your old blog http://wildenandassociates.wordpress.com/ now redirect to your custom domain http://wvcca.com/ which connected to your third-party hosting with an installation of WordPress.
If you want the contents of you old site http://wildenandassociates.wordpress.com/ to be transferred to the new host, you can achieve this by following the steps described in this guide:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org -
Does this mean I have to go to contact my host, GoDaddy, and get their information (FTP, etc.) to transfer my files to them?
-
That’s not necessary, this article explains how to do the content transfer using the WordPress interface:
1. In the old blog, go to Tools → Export and download the XML (WXR) file to your computer.
2. In the new blog, go to Tools → Import → WordPress and upload the file you downloaded in step 1. Make sure that you choose the option to Download & import file attachments.
