Only target homepage

  Hi,
  I am trying to position the posts on my homepage so that they are bigger and aligned how i would like them to be.
  I have used the CSS:
  #post-xxx.hentry
  It works but i’ve noticed it now effects the post layout once you click on them too which I don’t want.
  How do I only target the homepage?
