OnSwipe Plug in Desperately needed on wordpress.com
-
The Onswipe plug in aids mobile technology. It presents your blog content in an optimised mobile view. Its rather unfair that wordpress.com users cannot install the plugin. Its a tool that would greatly aid the readability of our blogs especially on a mobile device. Blogspot users can easily install the plug in, but right now only wordpress.org users can make use of it. Please can something be done to accomodate this. I’d really love to install onswipe on my blog. I am tempted to move to blogspot because of this. Mobile readability is a big deal to me, and I am certain that goes for many other bloggers as well.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is a mobile theme setting on every free hosted WordPress.com blog you can enable here > Appearance > Mobile
That being said, if you are using a responsive width theme like Chateau then don’t enable it.
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-width/Responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.

Onswipe was been disabled on WordPress.com blogs as of October 2012. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-onswipe-ipad-theme-is-no-longer-available?replies=1

WordPress.com had onswipe here for a long time and it was a pain and worked very poorly, which is why I suspect they removed it and developed their own mobile theme for smartphones and tablets, which in my experience works very well on iPads and iPhones and such.
