“Oops! We can’t find this plugin!” error when clicking on any free plugin

  Any time I click on a free plugin, I get the error message “Oops! We can’t find this plugin!The plugin you are looking for doesn’t exist.”

  This is the same issue that was discussed here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/error-message-when-clicking-plugins-in-the-plugin-catalog/

  That thread is closed, but in it they noted that their issue was resolved automatically within a short period of time. I have waited about 24 hours and I’m still seeing the same issue.

  I have logged out and in, restarted my computer, all to no avail.

  This happens to plugins that definitely exist. It happens to 100% of free plugins.
