Open an image in a new SMALLER window

    Hi, I would like an image to open in a new window but I want it to be of the size of the image itself. How can I do that?

    Hi!

    If you mean an image you’ve already posted in a post or on a page, here’s what you do:

    1) Go to the edit screen for that post or page where the image is located and click on the image. You will see two icons appear in the top left corner of the image, one of which looks like a little pencil.

    2) Click the pencil icon. This will bring up your image details/options.

    3) Under the “link to” dropdown menu, select “media file”.

    4) Click on “advanced options” (just below the “link to” dropdown menu) and select “open link in a new window/tab”.

    5) Click “Update”

    That’s it!

    No matter what size your image is displayed on your post/page, it will show the full size on the new window/tab that opens.
