Open domain names?

    Good afternoon,

I am looking to request a removal or open up a domain name from a site that has been inactive for 10 years. I am looking to use the domain name:

    Coder.wordpress.com
    Millsaj.wordpress.com

if we could have those sites opened up for me that would be amazing!

    Thanks in advanced.

If you find that an active blog address is registered by another user, you may be able to obtain it for your use if the owner of the blog agrees to transfer it to you. You may contact the blog owner – via a comment on their site or through a contact form, if available – to ask for their consent. If you do not get permission, or do not hear back from the blog owner, we cannot transfer the blog address to you. Please note that we cannot contact the owner of the previously deleted blog for you, nor can we provide you with the contact information of blog owners.

Thank you for the quick response.

Personally I foresee a problem with registered domain names. If WordPress doesn’t offer any method of taking over an inactive account and only allow the characters a-z 0-9. That leaves very limited space. I do not want to make a blog/portfolio called blog123.wordpress.com because blog.wordpress.com is taken by someone who hasn’t used it in 10 years.

Just my 2 cents on the subject. Marked as resolved.
