Open graph image value not appearing (sharing posts on facebook) site icon
-
I’ve been having issues with the open graph function of my site…I’ve tried deactivated all the plugins (so that jetpack plugin could work), contacted our blog’s theme support, contacted plugin jetpack support etc. and still can’t determine how to fix the issue. It seems the image file is present and there is an option to fix it using a file .ico instead of .png but when I upload the file to wordpress, it automatically changes it to .png. It looks like the blog is trying to load the content from a different location (i.e. the hosting site?)…If you look at one of the posts in Facebook debugger you’ll see there is nothing visible for the og:image value.
Example post: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
Debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
I’ve tried inserting the css code myself to create the value (I’m very new to this so perhaps I didn’t do it correctly?) in the functions file in wordpress editor but that didn’t solve the issue either.
Also the site icon is not appearing in chrome…the favicon is appearing for safari…some people said they can see it but I can’t (I’ve cleared my cache too!), I’m not sure if this could be realted to the op issue.
I’ve tried downloading several different plugins to resolve the missing op value issue like jetpack, plugins which are created specifically for generating facebook og:image value, etc.
If you have any suggestions on how to resolve the issue it would be greatly appreciated!
