Open ID comments left elsewhere

Will there ever be a feature whereby when we leave comments elsewhere (say, on blogspot blogs) with our Open IDs, we’ll be able to see these comments and, therefore, those made by others’, within the ‘My Comments’ section here on our dashboards or at least have follow-up comments e-mailed to us or is this nothing to do with WordPress?

Hello, and thank you, but the new feature only applies to comments left within wordpress, doesn’t it? I’m wondering if we’ll be able to follow comments we’ve left elsewhere using our Open IDs.

Right. I’ve not heard about anything else. But that announcement is progress.
There seem to be a lot of folk who have problems with Open IDs. I’ve been rejected sometimes on Blogger trying to use it so have to resort to other options to comment there.

Oddly, on blogspot blogs, you can ask for follow-up comments to be sent to you via e-mail if you use your blogger ID but this option disappears if you log in using your Open ID.
