I install the open live writer in my new computer. When add a blog account, it shows
“You signed successfully with a blog account, but you do not have a blog with this service provider.
$#xA;Check with the blog service provider and then try again.”I just published a post to my blog via open live writer in my old computer three days ago.
Any suggestion for me?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there @karopi!
I can see how that message from Open Live Writer is confusing, especially since it worked on your old computer just a few days ago.
That error usually means that Open Live Writer is unable to detect a blog linked to the WordPress.com account you’ve signed into. here are a few things you can check:
- Make sure you’re signing into the correct WordPress.com account
Double-check that you’re using the exact same email or login credentials in Open Live Writer that are connected to karopi.wordpress.com. - Try using the WordPress (WordPress.com) account type in OLW
During blog setup in Open Live Writer, make sure you’re selecting “WordPress.com” (not just “WordPress” which is for self-hosted sites). This makes sure the login goes through the proper authentication flow. - Check for OLW updates or reinstall
Occasionally, reinstalling or updating Open Live Writer can fix account detection issues. You can download the latest version from Open Live Writer on GitHub.
If none of those help, could you let us know:
- Are you getting any other error messages?
- Are you able to log in to WordPress.com directly with that same account?
- Was your old computer using any special configuration (VPN, firewall, etc.)?
I look forward to your reply so I can help you further.
- Make sure you’re signing into the correct WordPress.com account

Thanks for help.
1.
The username and password are correct to login karopi.wordpress.com directly. In Open Live Writer, the same username and password can be signed successfully, but it shows that I do not have a blog.
2.
OLW just has the option of “WordPress”, not “WordPress.com”. I then choose the “Other services”, but in vain.
3.
I reinstall the newest version of OLW, but still in vain.
Any other suggesstions? -
Thanks for the added details
Since Open Live Writer isn’t developed or maintained by WordPress.com, we have limited insight into issues on their end. It sounds like you’re signing in correctly, but OLW still doesn’t detect your site — this might be due to how their system connects with WordPress.com specifically.
I’d recommend reaching out to the OLW support community or developer directly for further help with the app itself.

Hi there folks, There are more offline editing app suggestions in this earlier forum thread https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/was-the-power-paste-functionality-recently-removed-from-the-classic-editor/#post-4074566
And also mentioning that both of the Jetpack mobile apps, and only the mobile apps, support offline editing. https://apps.wordpress.com/mobile/
