  Why does a PDF in my media and linked on a page on my site open a page and then you click again to open the PDF.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Which PDF are you referring to?

  If you are talking about the “Parent-to-Parent College Presentation” link on the homepage of dhhspta.wordpress.com, it’s opening in a new window because you have the link target set to blank, which tells the web browser to open in a new tab.

  You can fix this in two ways (the links below go to pages that explain these options, if you need extra help)

  Option 1 – Text Editor
  1. Open your page and go into the text editor
  2. Delete the target="_blank" from your link. Be careful not to delete the other brackets or characters in the link or it may break.
  3. Save your page

  Option 2 – Link Editor
  1. In the visual editor, click on the link and you’ll see a pop-up window
  2. Click on the pencil icon
  3. Click on the gear icon
  4. This will open up a link options panel and uncheck the box next to “Open link in a new tab”
  5. Update the link and save the page
