  I’m trying to point to my former social club that the policy of using ‘open source software’ is to give credit to the owners/creators when using it i.e. return WP link. I thought that was the policy with ‘WordPress 3.1’ but their webmaster has taken full credit with the default WP package for the past years and charged the club for his design.

  You need to read the GPL license and/or do some research on it so that you understand it.

  People are being ripped off everywhere. I heard of someone who just paid $300 to get Google analytics on their website. It’s free.
