Open twitter widget link into new window

  I am using the prefab Twitter widget on my website. Is there an option to let the link open in a new window, so that people do not ‘loose’ my site?
  In a text widget i would use the target=”_blank” code, but don’t see where I can add that in the existing widget.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  We users have no control over certain widget behaviors like this.(Same thing for the flickr widget, btw.) However, you could make your own “follow me” twitter link in a text widget, where that link opens in a new window (no actual tweets, though). That way, your followers won’t lose anything.

  Thanks, i thought about the same sollution, maybe that what I should go for. I was just wondering why they don’t give us that option, it seems to be in WP interest if people do not navigate away from their pages.
