Opened the blog as a user would, and the 'edit' block appears… Recent posts show as &#03

  Don’t know why the ‘edit’ block appears when i opened the blog… Also don’t know what ‘sticky’ means, which is on the last 3 posts created…

  I d not know what you mean. There is an Admin link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any Editors you have created can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.

  Also note that there will be auto-filled information in a contact form or a comment box but your information is visible to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.

  When someone makes a comment on your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.

  Thank u so much for responding. Now i understand what ‘sticky’ means… Re the other issue… Wanted to test the blog – go to it as anyone might, from the school’s home page (where our blog can be accessed) to see/be sure that it is working okay… When i did so, the page came up with the ‘edit’ block on the left side bar area so i wonder whether a parent or other general viewer sees that too?

  Perhaps because i ran this ‘test’ from my computer, the wordpress system recognized my computer, and still showed the admin access, i.e., ‘edit’ capabilities that i have? Will try to view the blog from another computer tomorrow to see if it does this as well… Hope that this makes more sense now? i greatly appreciate this site/service and all of you who help those of us who don’t quite get it :)
