  My openID is not working properly. It keeps telling me that my credentials could not be verified. I cannot comment on blogs because this does not work.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy,

  Sorry to hear about this. Could you verify with me what site you were trying to log into and what OpenID URL you were providing?

  Most OpenID issues can be solved with these steps:

  1. Log out of WordPress.com and all sites you are attempting to authenticate against with your WP OpenID.
  2. Ask them to clear cookies ( http://support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ ).
  3. Log back into WordPress.com
  4. Now, try to log in to the sites you were attempting to log into initially.

  Hi,

  Thank you for responding. I was trying to comment on another blog, her blog is from the BlogHer site. In order to comment I had to provide my OpenID. The OpenID URL I was providing was http://ataleoftwocs.wordpress.com and when I pressed “comment” to publish my comment is tells me “your OpenID credentials could not be verified.”

  I’m not sure how to verify me OpenID credentials.

  Howdy Courtney,

  I’ve been testing this out on my end with a test Blogger account and my WordPress.com OpenID. In one case, I did receive that error, but I couldn’t duplicate it enough to determine a common issue or thread.

  I’ll keep trying to duplicate on a consistent basis. In the meantime, could you go to your OpenID settings at https://ataleoftwocs.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=openidserver and remove Blogger as an authorized site, then try again?

  It’ll ask you again to authorize when you first time you comment.

  Hi,

  I tried what you suggested and removed Blogger as an authorized site and in the end it still tells me there was an OpenID error. I don’t know if there is something I am not enabling or something I missed.
