OpenID login error

  Prefs:
  – Account at SF.net
  – Login/OpenID at wordpress.com -> same login name, but different password

  When trying to Login at SF.net with WordPress OpenID, I got the following Error:
  “WordPress.com – You do not own that identity.”

  What goes wrong? wrong http parameters given back by WP? (See above)
  The OpenID Info pages at SF.net didn’t help me; the WP support pages, too.

  Did you try adding sf.net as a “trusted site” at settings > open ID? I’m not sure this will fix the issue, but give it a try.

  Also with Open ID, I’ve had problems with it in the past, and it seems to be sort of a flakey thing, working sometimes and sometimes not. I suspect it is Open ID itself rather than WordPress, but I don’t know that for sure.

  Hello thesacredpath, tnx for your posting.

  Am I blind? In “Settings” – there is no “Open ID” menu/entry, only “Account”, a.s.o. perhaps you may post a link?

  In the last menu “My Apps” https://en.wordpress.com/#!/settings/my-apps/ I found Gravatar activated/authorized (and it works within WP), but no possibility to add another site like SF. :-(

  Menu “Security” is only uses for mobile authentification …

  Oh what I’ve done ,-) — I only wanted my Avatar within SF and therefore registered at Gravatar via new WP account …

  One last idea: I *don’t* have any blog at WP. Therefore I entered the blog url of a friend in “web address” field of “account” menu.
  Perhaps this has to be the url of own blog within WP to work?
