opening body tag on individual pages
-
thesacredpath posted on this issue last year, but I don’t quite understand.
If you look in the opening body tag on individual pages, you will see a list of CSS classes that are declared, and one of those is the individual page ID which looks something like this: page-id-257 .
I can’t seem to find the above. Where can these be found?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

justpi,
thanks again for responding, and for answering the question on linked thread. However, I’d still like to understand sacredpath’s post regarding individual page ID. For some reason I can’t find the list of CSS classes he’s referring to.

He was referring to classes on the body tag. You can view page source in your web browser or use your browser tools by right-clicking and selecting “Inspect Element” to see the HTML of a page. Once you find the body tag, you will see which classes are set for that HTML tag.
For example, the body tag for the http://brinded.wordpress.com/ home page is currently this:
<body class="home page page-id-49 page-parent page-template page-template-full-width-page-php logged-in admin-bar no-customize-support typekit-enabled no-sidebars debug-bar-maximized highlander-enabled highlander-light custom-colors">So the individual page ID in that set of classes is “page-id-49” and you could target it with CSS using something like this:
.page-id-49 { /* put your css here */ } -
