Opening Domain to be used by another hosting site

  I just unlocked my domain name, does this mean that I will be able to re-register that domain from another hosting website? I no longer wish for that domain to be linked to my wordpress website, but to another.

  You should be able to just change the name servers to point to your new host: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

  Or transfer the registration: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

  it can take 24 to 72 hours for the changes to reach the far corners of the internet – access will be erratic during that time & you will be the last one to see the changes
