Opening existing links in a separate window, changing existing link appearance

  hello there, I have set up my blog withg a few links. I noticed that they open the links in the same window. I would like to change the links so that they open in another window. I could not find any information on how to change an existing link so that it opens in a separate window. If you guys could herlp me that would be brilliant. Also……….I would like to change the links appearance on the pages so they read more easily. For example, in my “Charities” page, I have two links to two different charities. I would like to change the links to say the name of the specific charities rather than their full web address. If you could help me that would be brilliant. Nice one……..I look forward to hearing from you.
