Opening links in separate windows instead of same window

  Hi,

  A few questions:

  1. If I have embedded a link to a different site within my text, how can I have the link open up in a separate link, instead of opening in the same link that my reader is reading my blog in?
  2. How do I add the date/ make it visible to my readers?
  3. How do I register my site with directories?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Date display is the norm on most blogs. In Sela https://wordpress.com/theme/sela it seems dates do display on blog posts that are not Featured Posts. See the demo site here: https://selademo.wordpress.com/blog/ As you only have the one post on your site for now, which is a Featured post, it is not displaying.
