Opening My Text Widget in a Separate Window
-
I have placed several pictures in my sidebar with links. They open fine. I would like to have them open into a separate window like my links. I have read through six pages of this forum and haven’t seen anything. Is there some way I can make them do that?
Thanks.

You would add that into the html link. Example:
<a href="http://wordpress.com" target="_blank">WP</a> -
?? I have both a picture and a link. Here’s what I have. Please insert the blank where necessary.
<a href="http://bakemyfish.wordpress.com/boomer-twilight-in-the-news/"><img src="http://bakemyfish.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/article2.jpg" /></a>This morbid fear of javascript is killing me.
Thanks.

Modified your post to add the backticks that are needed around code.
You would need:
<a href="http://bakemyfish.wordpress.com/boomer-twilight-in-the-news/" target="_blank"><img src="http://bakemyfish.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/article2.jpg" /></a> -
I added that to the text widget, but it didn’t work. It’s OK. No need to respond any more. I’ll live with it not opening in a different window. It’s not worth the frustration.
Thanks.

The coding which mtdewvirus left just above your last comment should work. The email I sent ya with the code should’ve worked too. I don’t understand how/why it’s not working.

@bakemyfish
You didn’t have
target="_blank"
in your code in the text widget. I have added it for you. -
Thanks, MT. I was missing the space before target (I think). But it all works well, now. Thanks for your help and patience. At least you didn’t treat me like a moron. Often times that happens in the forums. Hear that Raincoaster, wherever you are?
MT, your help is most welcome. Take care.
